Elements of Pharmaceutical/Biotech Pricing will give participants a basic understanding of the key terminology and issues involved in pricing decisions and the principles of reimbursement methodologies. It will cover the tools to document product value, the role of pharmacoeconomics in pricing, and the differences in payment systems that help to shape pricing decisions. Recent pharmaceutical spending patterns, trends, and cost-containment measures will also be discussed, taking into account the wider policy context. The pricing systems of several countries will be presented.
